These Scenic Cottages are located within 10 minutes of the town of Mattawa which is approximately 60km from North Bay and offers boating along the historic Ottawa River. The property is in a beautiful bay that has one of the few sand beaches that can be enjoyed on the river’s edge. The river offers upstream boating and fishing in an area of roughly 75km until you reach the town of Temiskaming in Quebec.

There are hiking trails all over the area that can be explored at your leisure, providing opportunities to see all this and more.

My wife and I have stayed at this cottage a couple times now and we always have a great time there. Great river for boating and fishing or just relaxing down at the dock and listening to the loons as a bald eagle soars by. Great place for seeking a quite relaxing place with a great view overlooking the Ottawa river. The cottage itself is good size and has all amenities needed and is very clean. Another great feature is its only a short drive to the town of Mattawa for all your supplies. Can’t wait for the next visit as the wife loves it up there.

Home away from home.
We stayed at the Argo Way home in the fall of 2019 and had an absolutely great time. It is a very spacious, beautiful home with all the amenities. There is a spectacular view of the Ottawa River from high on the hill. A lovely outdoor area for BBQs and night time fires also. The host Dave Duliban is more than willing to make your vacation enjoyable. I would highly recommend staying here.
